At the "top end" we find certified organic materials. Organic is actually quite a bit different than natural. An organic product must meet much more strict guidelines for what is (or more important, what isn't) in the product.

The Mattress & Sleep Company offers free shipping on any order of $100 or more to most locations across Canada. Crib mattresses are delivered by Fedex or UPS while larger mattress sizes are delivered by traditional truck freight.

Our carefully selected organic crib mattresses are crafted from breathable, healthy materials including cotton, wool and genuine natural latex. Rather than resorting to potentially risky waterproof coverings we always recommend using a wool puddle pad as a moisture barrier. Although not technically waterproof, moisture simply beads up on top of a wool puddle pad, ensuring it does not travel through to the crib mattress. The benefit is that the wool absorbs the moisture, keeping baby dry and comfortable. Waterproof covers simply keep this moisture next to babies skin, disturbing sleep.

Although puddle pads are not waterproof, they are designed to absorb a significant amount of moisture before leaking through to the mattress. Crib mattress pads are quilted and finished just like a fitted sheet. These are used to provide additional moisture protection and softness for baby.
