Transparency

Have you noticed how the model name and fabric for each traditional brand name mattress is different at every retailer? We've noticed this, too. It is often very frustrating to compare from one store to the next when the model names are never the same. Even resorting to "spec shopping" may not lead us anywhere as many stores are unable or simply unwilling to share the detailed specifications with you.

The Mattress & Sleep company is attempting to change this lack of transparency by showcasing as many identifiable products as possible.

Times Have Changed

There was a time when many of the traditional mattress brands made premium quality products. Today these brands are essentially a victim of their own success as they are still offering their mattresses for the same basic pricing stretching back 30 or 40 years. Somehow these mattresses are $999 today, even though they were $999 in the 1970's.

Environmental Responsibility

Traditional mattress brands are crafting primarily a commodity product which is designed to be discarded after very little use. The Mattress & Sleep Company believes a mattress should last longer than the 3 to 5 year average commonly offered by these traditional mattress makers.

If we employ high quality materials, there is no reason a mattress cannot still offer 10, 15 or even 20 years of comfort and support.
