When it comes to sleeping comfort, our duvet is often the most overlooked aspect of the experience. Choosing the correct mattress, and even the correct pillow are always at the top of the list, yet duvets are vital to maintaining proper temperature and keeping moisture to a minimum. A high quality duvet has the potential to outlast the mattress you place it upon, making a duvet an excellent investment in sleep quality.
The Mattress & Sleep Company fully believes a duvet filled with natural materials provides the healthiest, most comfortable solution. We offer a variety of fills including wool, silk, organic cotton, real Goose Down and even ultra rare Eiderdown.
Each of these fills offer very distinct types of comfort.

Although there are a variety of natural duvet choices available today, nothing feels quite like the ultra light, airy feeling of a high quality down duvet. The Mattress & Sleep Company begun the search for a duvet maker that would meet our customers high expectations for quality, and St. Geneve was the logical choice. You will notice the fill weights are lower than most down duvets because the downs St. Geneve use have tremendous insulating power and puff up to be very thick, yet very lightweight. This is made possible by their expertise in design and the choice of mature downs with high loft, density, and clinging ability. Choose down if your goal is to have the lightest duvet possible. High quality down has superior clinging ability which means less down is needed to offer the same insulation as lower quality down. Eiderdown in particular is the lightest variety of duvet available anywhere in the world. As Eiderdown has the best clinging ability of any type of down, much less of this material is required to offer adequate warmth. How to Buy a St. Geneve Duvet | Shop Down & Eiderdown Duvets |

Silk duvets offer an ultra luxurious feel and comfort unique to this wonderful material. Silk contains natural proteins which provide hypoallergenic properties, and the silk fibre allows for excellent temperature regulation, breathability and the ability to wick away excess moisture. Silk duvets offer a very luxurious feel and are often described as slightly heavier than down, and will tend to drape over the body more than down, which has a tendency to stay "lofted" above the body. Although true down and wool allergies are exceedingly rare, we realize an alternative is nice to have. Silk duvets are an excellent choice for anyone with allergy concerns. Choose silk if you are seeking a duvet which wraps around the human form more closely than other natural fills. Silk is a popular choice as a summer duvet as they are typically cooler sleeping than other natural fills. |

Wool duvets offer an alternative to silk at a lower cost. These comforters feel more like a "blanket"--perfect for those who prefer a heavier duvet covering them while sleeping. The variety of wool duvets offered by The Mattress & Sleep Company include standard summer, all-season and winter varieties. One of the most unique products in this category is Natura's washable wool duvet, which can be machine washed and dried at home. We also offer a wool duvet with an aloe-infused cover, which is designed to moisturize the skin and help with skin blemishes. It even works through the duvet cover! Choose wool for a slightly heavier feel. Wool will drape around the body although not as precisely as silk. A winter weight wool duvet will be similar to a regular weight down duvet for warmth. The washable wool duvet is a very popular choice for children, while those seeking organic will find wool offers the largest selection. |
