We approached Green Sleep with the idea to craft a mattress specifically for children, and they happily obliged. We even chose the name, Piccolo, Italian for small. At just under 6 inches deep, the Piccolo is perfect for bunk beds or mates beds. Safety requirements on most bunk beds specify a mattress at a maximum of 6 inches / 15 cm. Normally this limitation would only be met by polyurethane foam mattresses, and all of the potentially risky chemical off-gassing associated with this material. Piccolo puts aside these limitations and offers an all-natural, entirely chemical-free option safe for all children.

Piccolo is versatile. Inside the zippered cover, you'll find two layers of 100% natural rubber tree latex. One layer is soft and the other is firm. During your child's earliest years, simply assemble the mattress so that the firm layer is on top. When they get a little bit older, reverse the layers so that the soft layer is on top, for a bit of extra comfort once your child is heavy enough!

North Malaysia 600 is Green Sleep's own exclusive proprietary process. Green Sleep's Natural Rubber cores are derived from their very own tree farm. These trees have been bud grafted to create the North Malaysia 600 seed which in turn produces the purest most elastic rubber on the planet. No latex or synthetic fillers are added to core production.

The Piccolo uses a unique stretchy organic cotton fabric which is easier to spot clean, although we highly recommend a puddle pad in combination with the Green Sleep Vasilo protector.

Foundation

Your Green Sleep Piccolo is suggested to match with the Green Sleep S50 foundation. S200 and S300 will provide enhanced ergonomics. The Piccolo is also available as a mattress only should a foundation not be required. If using a slatted bed please ensure the slats are no more than 2 ½" apart.

Your sleep system is covered by Green Sleep's 10 warranty. The Ergo Hevea series features an additional 10 years of pro-rated coverage for 20 years total. The Mattress & Sleep Company will act on your behalf in the event of any potential warranty claim.
