What is an organic pillow? An organic pillow must be crafted from entirely natural materials. However, simply using natural materials is not enough. When the pillow features fibres such as cotton or wool, these must be certified organic.
Organic cotton and wool are sourced from locations where there are no herbicides or pesticides being used on the crops or in the fields. In the case of organic wool, the sheep must be supplied organic feed and when it comes time to collecting the fleece, it cannot be acid dipped as is typical for standard wool. This acid dip process is what causes a pH imbalance in wool and leads to the vast majority of "allergy" issues.
