Of all the different varieties of down available, there is nothing in the world that even approaches the softness of genuine Eiderdown. It is more comfortable than anything else known to man. St. Geneve Eiderdown is hand collected from the birds’ nests at Eider Duck sanctuaries, in a special relationship that has existed for generations between the Eiders and the local farmers. The birds are not disturbed, and are actually attracted to these safe areas because of food supplied by the down collectors. St. Geneve import from Europe a 100% Silk of 450 thread count which is woven especially for Eiderdown. This special covering carries the symbol for the Oeko® certification of purity. No downproof fabric is softer or more beautiful.

Covered in Silk with a Cotton underlay. We always recommend professional laundering. Eiderdown should not should be washed too often, so always use a good quality duvet cover and/or duvet protector (Not included).

Not sure which fill weight to choose? Hot sleepers or those who keep their bedroom warmer should choose an ultra light fill. Those who sleep moderately warm and keep their room at slightly cooler temperatures usually do well with a light weight duvet. For cold sleepers or those who do not heat their bedroom at night, a regular weight should be chosen. It is also important to know that in the unlikely event your duvet is too cool, we are able to have it filled to the next highest fill level, where-as we are unable to remove down should it prove too warm. When in doubt, lighter is better!

High quality down is much more efficient than low quality down. It is for this reason that a St. Geneve duvet will offer the same insulating power as a department store duvet even when going one or two fill levels lighter. The benefit is a lighter duvet on top of you, resulting in more comfortable sleep.

St. Geneve down filled duvets are guaranteed 20 years against any defect in materials and/or workmanship, provided that the duvet has been reasonably cared for, and that a duvet cover has been used at all times. Regular Weight duvets are guaranteed for warmth for 10 years. The Mattress & Sleep Company will act on your behalf during any warranty claim.
