  • Mattresses, adjustable beds, and furniture orders in the Calgary & Edmonton areas include free delivery, professional in-home setup, and packaging disposal. Removal of your existing mattress set is available.
  • Pick-up from one of our stores or warehouses is free of charge.
  • Free Shipping to most locations across Canada on orders totalling $100 or more before tax. $20 flat rate for orders of less than $100.
  • Free Freight Delivery for all truck-freight / large item shipments outside of the Calgary & Edmonton areas. Deliveries to remote locations may incur an additional cost.

Where does The Mattress & Sleep Company Deliver?

Free In-Home Delivery and setup are included with all mattress, furniture, or adjustable bed orders in the Calgary and Edmonton metropolitan areas as we have locally owned & operated stores in Calgary, Edmonton, and Sherwood Park.

Courier-eligible orders are delivered anywhere in Canada that Canada Post, Canpar, FedEx, Purolator, or UPS will deliver to. Larger items that require truck freight are delivered to locations with year-round road access. We also deliver to the USA and select other countries, please see the link below.

In-Stock Courier-Eligible Items
The Mattress & Sleep Company will ship your in-stock courier-eligible orders via Canada Post, Canpar, FedEx, Purolator, or UPS. Items that are too large to ship via courier will be shipped via truck freight.

Drop-Ship Orders
When portions of your order are not in stock in our stores or warehouses, we may have the supplier deliver direct to you on our behalf.

PO Box, General Delivery, Remote Location
We will deliver to a post office box or remote location, however, this may delay your order for items that we normally would have sent directly from the supplier (most of our suppliers only use FedEx or UPS, who do not deliver to PO boxes or remote areas). A surcharge may apply when shipping to a PO Box, General Delivery, or Remote Location address.

To ensure the fastest delivery please provide a physical street address wherever possible.



Shipping Rates - Canadian Shipping Addresses

The Mattress & Sleep Company offers free shipping on virtually all orders of $100 or more (before tax). For orders of less than $100, there is a flat shipping fee of $20.

GST (or HST, where applicable) will be added to any shipping charges collected during checkout.

Deliveries to remote locations may incur an additional cost.

Standard Shipping vs. Canada Post Option

Our standard shipping option means that we will use the shipper of our choosing. 

You may choose Canada Post during checkout for a modest fee should you wish to have us send your order via Canada Post.

We must charge this fee for Canada Post shipments as Canada Post charges us based on package size and not by weight. Since many of our items are quite large, yet light-weight (such as a pillow), Canada Post is typically 2-3x the cost of other couriers, all of which charge by weight instead of package size.

Please note that the Canada Post shipping option will only be offered for eligible orders. Certain shipping destinations and combinations of items in your cart may create a situation where Canada Post shipping is not possible.

Express Shipping

If you need your order fast, please call 1-877-750-1212. We're happy to send in-stock items with overnight service. A surcharge will apply.

Remote Locations

Deliveries to remote locations could incur an additional cost. The Mattress & Sleep Company will always provide you with the option to cancel your order with no penalty if the additional charges are not agreeable. Remote locations include most of Yukon, Northwest Territories, Nunavut, and Labrador. In addition, many smaller towns in the more populated provinces may still be considered "remote".



When will my order arrive?

It is our goal to always have a plentiful inventory of popular products to fill orders as quickly as possible. Please also keep in mind that many of our products are made to order. Each product page will indicate whether or not that particular item is typically in stock or if it needs to be ordered for you.

Typical delivery estimates:

  • In-stock Products (shipping via courier): 1-6 days
    • Vancouver: 2 business days
    • Calgary or Edmonton: 1 business day
    • Regina or Winnipeg: 2 business days
    • Toronto: 3 or 4 business days
    • Ottawa or Montreal: 4 business days
    • Halifax: 5 or 6 business days
  • In-stock Products (non-courier eligible/truck freight):
    • Calgary or Edmonton: 1-2 business days
    • Larger centres in Western Canada: 2-5 business days
    • Larger centres in Eastern Canada: 5-10 business days
  • Out-of-stock, custom, or special order mattresses:

If your complete order is in stock, The Mattress & Sleep Company will ensure your order ships in a timely fashion; typically within one business day. Most in-stock orders ship from Edmonton, Alberta. Delivery times for in-stock items vary by distance. For example, a shipment to Winnipeg will take less time to arrive than a shipment to Halifax.

Should your needs be time-sensitive, we recommend calling to confirm availability before placing an order.



How do I track my order?

Wherever possible, we provide you with a tracking number when your order ships. There are situations where this is not possible (normally for items arriving via truck freight).

If you created an account with us during the secure checkout process online, simply sign in to view past order history, tracking numbers (where available), and more.



Do you split ship orders?

Yes! On request, we will send in-stock portions of your courier-eligible items separately from out-of-stock items so long as the individual shipments still exceed the $100 free shipping threshold. Should the in-stock portion of your order not exceed the $100 free shipping threshold you may still request shipment and we will bill the freight charges as per our standard rates for orders below $100.

Please note that split shipments are on request only. Click/tap "Add instructions for TMASC" during checkout and leave us a note to request a split shipment.

Orders sent outside of Canada are only shipped complete.



Signature

An indirect signature is required for all shipments with a value of $500 or more. If there is not typically someone at home during the day, we recommend having your order shipped to a business address.

If you would prefer to have your order sent without a signature requirement, please keep in mind that The Mattress & Sleep Company is unable to take any responsibility for a damaged, lost, or stolen package. Any shipment sent without a signature requirement is entirely at your own risk.

To waive the signature requirement on orders of $500 or more, please ensure you include special notes by navigating to the Shopping Cart page and then click/tap "Add instructions for TMASC".



The United States & International Orders

Ordering Process & Policies for orders outside of Canada:

  • Orders shipped outside of Canada are typically sent via Canada Post, which will then hand off the shipment to your local postal partner (ie: USPS in the USA or Deutsche Post DHL in Germany).
  • The minimum order total for export is $2,000 CAD.
  • The shipping fee is a flat $250.
  • Shipping rates shown online are subject to change. For example, if the real cost of shipping is less than the $250 that our online checkout collects, we will gladly refund you the difference. If the real cost of shipping is substantially more than $250, we reserve the right to collect the difference or cancel your order if the final shipping cost is unagreeable.
  • Your order will be billed in Canadian dollars.
  • Your credit card issuer will convert from CAD to your local currency. Most card issuers charge a currency exchange fee of 1.5 to 2.5%, although many US card issuers do waive the FX fee.
  • We may drop ship certain products directly from the manufacturer to help avoid additional costs. For example, if you're ordering from the USA and the item you've ordered is also Made in the USA, we would have the product sent directly from the manufacturer to you.
  • Canada has many free trade agreements including with the EU and the USA, and these agreements may reduce or eliminate your tax burden. However, any brokerage, duties, and taxes incurred are ultimately your responsibility.
