Is the wooden bedframe in the pictures included?

The wooden headboard and footboard shown in Tempur-Pedic product photographs is merely for illustration purposes to demonstrate the capabilities of the Tempur-Pedic sleep system fitting into your existing furniture with ease.

Do Tempur-Pedic products come with a warranty?

Yes, all Tempur-Pedic mattresses include a comprehensive 25 year warranty. Most Tempur-Pedic accessories are accompanied by a 3 year warranty. Most removable fabric covers (for mattresses and pillows) have a 2 year warranty.

Does Tempur-Pedic sleep hot?

Yes, Tempur-Pedic mattresses sleep hot. It is important to remember that although we say TEMPUR® material sleeps hot, this also applies to 95% of the mattresses sold today including Sealy, Simmons, Serta and countless others. Tempur-Pedic mattresses are made of polyurethane foam, which is the same material found in nearly every other mattress. To be clear, TEMPUR® material exhibits several unique properties that make it far superior to other polyurethane foams (including memory foam), so this is not to say it is the same quality, merely that it has the same temperature issues.

When we sleep too hot, we perspire. How your mattress and bedding deal with this moisture is far, far more important than the temperature. This is why the optimal sleeping environment must incorporate sheep's wool or a similar fibre such as alpaca or camel hair. Sheep's wool is able to hold approximately 30 to 40% of it's weight in moisture, which means that when we overheat, the wool will keep us dry and comfortable. Wool is also exceptionally good at balancing temperature, so when we do overheat, the wool is dissipating the heat over a much larger area than any synthetic material is capable of.

Often times, the other cause of temperature issues with these mattresses is from the mattress store forcing you to buy a waterproof mattress protector. No matter what the marketing might claim, waterproof protectors really do not breathe very well at all. And remember, we just talked about how when we overheat we perspire. If you have a waterproof layer next to you while you're sleeping, all of that moisture is now building up and not going anywhere. This leads to a clammy feel, which then causes major problems such as an increased heart rate, lot's of tossing and turning, and severely fragmented sleep. By the way, sheep's wool is also scientifically proven to steady the heart rate, too.

Does Tempur Breeze (Tempur-Climate) material sleep hot?

Yes, TEMPUR-Climate material (the layer used in a Breeze model), sleeps hot. All synthetic foams sleep hot, just as we touched on above. The tricky part of course is that there is a lot of additional marketing effort that goes into these foam layers, and a lot of that marketing focus is now being directed at the temperature issues that have become so common in today's synthetic mattresses. For instance, one of the biggest marketing pushes has been for gel foam. The idea is that gel feels cool to the touch. This is absolutely true, but what they fail to mention is that gel foam is still at room temperature. Gel can feel cool to the touch because it is more conductive than standard polyurethane foam. The challenge is that just like any other dense foam, it will overheat anyway, it merely just takes a little bit longer for this to happen.

How much is shipping?

Shipping is free of charge on all Tempur-Pedic orders of $100 or more to most of Canada. Shipping may be extra in remote areas.

If in-home setup of your mattress is not offered in your area delivery is free to the curb or first dry area. If you live in a remote location delivery may be available only to the closest freight depot. Some remote areas may incur additional freight charges.

When will my Tempur-Pedic mattress arrive?

Delivery varies by destination. Tempur-Canada almost always has sufficient inventory in Toronto, Ontario. The Mattress & Sleep Company also stocks additional popular products in Calgary and Edmonton, Alberta. A customer in a larger centre in Alberta, Southern Ontario or Québec will typically see the quickest delivery times. The average delivery time is 1 to 2 weeks with 3-4 days being the quickest delivery times. Smaller centres in Southern Ontario and Québec will usually see delivery times of about 2 to 3 weeks as these smaller centres may not be serviced as often.

Delivery times for most other larger centres across Canada is between 1 to 3 weeks, with 2 weeks being the average. Please allow up to 4 weeks for smaller centres which may not be serviced as often.

For our local customers in the Edmonton Metro Area delivery is usually next-day, provided we have your desired items in stock.

Most freight companies will only deliver on a weekday. In rare cases, certain freight companies will deliver on a Saturday (an additional fee may apply).

When will my Tempur-Pedic accessories arrive?

If we have everything in stock your order will arrive anywhere between 1 to 7 business days to most locations in Canada. The closer you live to Calgary or Edmonton the faster your delivery typically will be.

What happens if my product arrives damaged?

In the unlikely event of damage, be sure to note all damages on the bill of lading (Write: PRODUCT DAMAGED directly on the slip of paper the delivery driver hands you to sign off on). Only discrepancies noted on the bill of lading can be addressed. Please call us immediately at 1-877-750-1212 if your bed arrives damaged. Be sure to keep all packaging in the event that the shipping company wishes to inspect the product.

We also recommend writing "pending inspection" on the bill of lading as this can help in the case of finding concealed damage even when the shipping carton appears completely intact.

If a small parcel arrives damaged (such as a pillow) please let us know as soon as possible. Most courier companies have a time limit on reporting damages.

When is my credit card charged?

We do not automatically charge your card at the time of order. Your credit card is charged only after product availability is ensured and all pricing is confirmed as accurate.

Order Cancellation & Change Policy

So long as we're able to successfully cancel the order with Tempur-Pedic, we will happily provide a full refund. If your order has shipped, please view our Returns, Refunds & Deposits page for more details.
