1 Alpaca is a hollow fibre. As such it is lighter and traps more heat than sheep's wool. This means even though the summer alpaca duvet contains only 155 grams of fibre per metre, it will actually sleep a little bit warmer than the summer weight wool duvet. This is ideal for those who are wanting the lightest wool filled duvet possible.

2 It is interesting to note that even though the total weight of the Winter Alpaca Duvet is only 490 grams per square metre that it is still warmer than even the winter sheep's wool duvet yet lighter than the all-season sheep's wool duvet.
