Where does The Mattress & Sleep Company Deliver?
For orders excluding a mattress, a nominal delivery fee may apply to deluxe in-home delivery & setup orders in the Calgary & Edmonton areas.
Items which are small enough to ship via courier are delivered anywhere in Canada where Canada Post or Fedex will deliver to. Larger items which require truck freight are delivered to locations with year-round road access. We also deliver to the USA and select other countries, please see the link below.
In-Stock Courier-Eligible Items
The Mattress & Sleep Company will ship your in-stock small item orders via Fedex or Canada Post. Items which are too large to ship via courier will be shipped via truck freight.
In situations where your order or portions of your order are not in stock, we will typically have the supplier deliver to you on our behalf. Most of our suppliers ship via Fedex & UPS.
PO Box, General Delivery, Remote Location
We will deliver to a post office box or remote location, however this may delay your order for items which we normally would have sent directly from the supplier (most of our suppliers only use Fedex or UPS, who do not deliver to PO boxes or remote areas).
To ensure the fastest delivery please provide a physical street address wherever possible.
Shipping Rates (Small Items via Courier) - Canadian Shipping Addresses
The Mattress & Sleep Company offers free shipping on almost all courier eligible orders of $100 or more (before tax). For orders of less than $100, please see the chart below for shipping charges.
$0.01 to $49.99 - $13.95
$50.00 to $99.99 - $17.25
$100.00 or more (before tax) - Free
GST (or HST, where applicable) will be added to any shipping charges collected during checkout.
Small items include essentially everything other than furniture & mattresses. For all over sized items, please see the Large Item Delivery section below.
Free Shipping vs. Canada Post Guaranteed Option
You may choose to receive guaranteed usage of Canada Post Expedited service. Our standard Free Shipping option (for eligible orders) allows for us to use the shipper of our choice. This is critical as Canada Post charges by volume. An item such as a pillow may be incredibly light, yet also rather large. The result could be a $15 Fedex shipment versus a $30-40 Canada Post shipment.
The fee for guaranteed usage of Canada Post for your courier-eligible shipment is $10.95 per order.
If you need your order fast, please call 1-877-750-1212. We're happy to send in-stock items via Xpresspost or Fedex Overnight. These services will be billed at their real cost.
Deliveries to remote locations may incur additional fees. The Mattress & Sleep Company will always provide you with the option to cancel your order with no penalty should a situation arise where the additional charges are not agreeable. Remote locations include most of Yukon, Northwest Territories, Nunavut and Labrador. In addition many smaller towns in the more populated provinces may still be considered "remote". If your town does not have a freight depot nearby chances are we would consider this a remote location.
Delivery Rates (Large Items via Truck Freight)
Large Item Delivery Fee: Free Across Canada (with two exceptions noted below):
All over sized items which are unable to ship via Canada Post, Fedex, or UPS require standard truck-freight shipping. These large items include most furniture and mattresses. Delivery is free to most areas. For some remote locations freight charges may be additional and in these circumstances we will always consult you prior to order processing.
TEAM 7 Furniture
TEAM 7 furniture orders are always completely unique and every situation is different. As such, the delivery arrangements on all TEAM 7 products are made on a case-by-case basis. Generally speaking, shipping and handling are included in most situations.
Ordering Process & Policies for the United States:
- All orders with a USA shipping address are charged a $39 CAD processing fee
- All USA orders are also levied with a flat 14% shipping charge
- Your order is billed in Canadian dollars, and we do not collect your state sales tax
- Your credit card issuer will convert from CAD to USD on your credit card statement. Most card issuers charge a fee of approximately 1.5 to 2.5% to convert the currency
- Products Made in the USA will be shipped direct from the manufacturer to avoid brokerage or duties
- Products Made in Canada will usually be duty exempt, although we recommend that you consult your local tax office for advice
- Any brokerage, duties and sales taxes are ultimately the customers responsibility
With the low Canadian dollar the result is a net savings of approximately 5 to 20% when compared to buying the identical item in the USA.
Order destined for Canada? No problem! Ignore the $39 + 14% fee, these charges do not apply to orders shipping within Canada.
Our online checkout supports addresses in Australia, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Iceland, Luxembourg, Monaco, Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom and the United States. Our shipping fee to countries listed here, excluding Canada and USA is a flat 20% surcharge on the order total. We reserve the right to confirm real shipping costs prior to order acceptance.
Any brokerage, duties or VAT incurred are the customers responsibility.
Orders destined for the rest of the world are on a case-by-case basis. Please Contact Us and we'll be happy to discuss the options. We have delivered to every continent - except Antarctica ;).
How do I track my order?
Wherever possible, we provide you with a tracking number when your order ships. There are situations where this is not possible (normally on items arriving via truck-freight).
If you created an account with us during the secure checkout process online, simply sign in to view past order history, tracking numbers (where available) and more.
When will my order arrive?
It is our goal to always have plentiful inventory of popular products in an effort to fill orders as quickly as possible. That being said, the vast range of products we offer, including many custom options, do make it difficult to have "everything" in stock at all times. Each product page will indicate whether or not that particular item is typically in stock or needs to be ordered.

If your complete order is in stock, The Mattress & Sleep Company will ensure your order ships in a timely fashion; typically within one business day. Most in stock orders ship from Edmonton, Alberta. Delivery times for in stock items vary by distance. For example, a shipment to Winnipeg will take less time to arrive than a shipment to Boston.
Should your needs be time sensitive, we recommend calling to confirm availability before placing any order.
Do you split ship orders?
Yes! We will send in-stock portions of your order separately from out of stock items so long as the individual shipments still exceed the $100 free shipping threshold. Should the in-stock portion of your order not exceed the $100 free shipping threshold you may still request shipment and we will bill the freight charges as per our standard rates for orders below $100.
All orders sent outside of Canada will be shipped complete to avoid multiple brokerage fees for the customer.
Shipping on Austin Air purifiers is typically free to most areas in Canada. As these are a very heavy item additional shipping costs may apply to certain remote areas.
Austin Air Replacement Filters
Austin Air Canada has a policy which requires a flat $20 shipping fee be added to each replacement air filter cartridge. This $20 charge will automatically be added during checkout. Please note that additional shipping fees may apply for remote locations.
