Being fluffed or steamed in a dryer can also help to restore some lost loft.

Gram for gram, finer wools tend to offer more insulation power. Alpaca, despite its remarkable softness to the touch - is not as fine as merino wool or cashmere/camel down. For those who want a little more weight without too much warmth the Alpaca has a lower warmth to weight ratio than our other finer wool duvets. Generally our curated selection tends to favor finer wools as we believe that a warmer and lighter duvet tends to be most comfortable for most sleepers.
