High quality pocketed springs cannot be successfully mass produced. Pocket springs must be wrapped in cotton to ensure the coils are not too stiff, allowing for proper conformance to body shape. A well made pocket coil system will not use glue or finishing sprays and will simply be stitched or tied together by hand. Perhaps more-so than any other spring design, pocketed coil mattresses should be supported by a flexible suspension system such as Green Sleep's S200 or S300 foundation. Should your bed frame be designed for only a mattress, ensure the support system consists of well made slats, never a solid platform as proper air circulation is vital.
