Truly machine-washable pillows are actually rather uncommon. All St Genève goose and Eiderdown pillows listed here may be fully machine-washed and dried. Pillow Protectors are also a wonderful option and should be used with all pillows, but what if you'd like to wash the actual pillow? We have the answer!
Which pillow materials should not be washed? Foam pillows (any type of foam, synthetic or natural) should not be washed. Polyester pillows may in theory be washed although these tend to clump up very easily. Most wool and silk-type pillows should never be washed although in some situations certain wool pillows might accept machine washing. Always follow the advice on the label for your pillow. When in doubt, it is safe to assume most pillows are not washable.
