All About the Copenhagen Latex Mattress

The best latex mattress in Canada? Yep.

The Copenhagen features 10" of the finest 100% natural Talalay latex available anywhere today. Manufactured in small batches by Radium in The Netherlands, Vita Talalay latex is an ultra-high-performance natural rubber that will retain like-new properties for years to come.

Unique to the Copenhagen mattress is a pure camel down layer quilted directly beneath the outer organic cotton fabric. Camel down (the soft inner portion of the camel fibre) is exceptionally soft, breathable and thermal-regulating. There is also a layer of Plein-Air French sheep's wool under the camel down which takes these desirable properties a step further.

The mattress is available in your choice of Soft, Medium or Firm, while those choosing a Queen or King-sized bed may also choose a different firmness for each sleeping partner.

Overall, Copenhagen is intended to provide a cradling, cloud-like feel, even in the "firm" version. Intentional in our approach, a 10" latex mattress made this way is the ultimate combination of sumptuous comfort coupled with exceptional ergonomic support. The result? Copenhagen is perhaps the ideal mattress for virtually any body type or sleeping position, including when used with an electric adjustable bed.

Copenhagen offers four key advantages over the typical latex mattress:

100% natural Vita Talalay latex, manufactured in The Netherlands by Radium Foam BV, free of styrene-butadiene (synthetic latex) content.

The 6" 7-zone ergonomic latex core is available in medium or firm, to provide individual comfort for each sleeping partner.

A certified organic cotton knit outer covering that is zippered and removable, allowing for customized comfort suited to each sleeping partner, reversible/flippable layers, and easy moving/transport.

Pure Plein-Air French sheep's wool quilted to the outer cotton acts as a natural fire barrier without resorting to chemical treatments, in addition to providing optimal temperature and humidity regulation.

Each region of the 7-zone natural Vita Talalay latex core is specifically engineered to provide targeted ergonomics and pressure relief.

As we age, our needs can change. Traditionally, these changes would necessitate a mattress replacement, even in situations where your existing mattress is in otherwise good condition. Our Zippered Forever Beds offer the option to rearrange the existing components or strategically replace one or two layers to further enhance comfort.

Our zippered mattresses allow access to their internal components. Renew, refresh and improve your Zippered Forever Bed™ at any point in the future.

Many of the components found within our Zippered Forever Beds™ may be rotated and turned individually, resulting in more even wear and a longer lifespan. This style of maintenance is considerably more thorough than the alternatives. One-sided mattresses can only be rotated 180°, whereas traditional two-sided mattresses can be rotated and flipped.

Our Zippered Forever Beds™ use natural cotton outer tickings for exceptional breathability and are one of many healthy components found in these mattresses.

Inside your Zippered Forever Bed™ are all-natural fillings, including pure camel hair and sheep's wool. These animal fibres are non-allergenic and regulate temperature and humidity more effectively than synthetic fibres.
