All About the A&H Bengale Hand Towel

The Bengale hand towel from Abyss & Habidecor features a 100 White base with 795 Mustang and 840 Gold accents, making this a wonderful complementary hand towel to integrate with the world-famous Abyss Super Pile towels.

Crafted entirely from 100% Giza Egyptian Cotton Extra Long Staple in the warp, weft, and pile, Abyss towels are a rarity. Most towels do not utilize pure Egyptian Cotton in all aspects, if at all. The greater weight allocated to the pile rather than the towel's base endows the towel with superior drying performance compared to similar towels of the same weight.

The towel's base, also made of 100% Giza Egyptian Cotton Extra Long Staple, ensures that Abyss towels are extraordinarily absorbent, durable, and of exceptional quality.

The towel pile features a double twist, providing increased strength, reduced lint, and superior absorbency. Any snags or pulls can be trimmed without compromising the towel's integrity.

  • The Best Cotton in the World

    Certified Giza Egyptian Cotton Extra Long Staple is recognized as the finest cotton in the world and is used to produce Abyss & Habidecor towels and bathrobes. Cultivated on the banks of the Nile, the cotton is picked by hand. The fibre is treated to create yarn of exceptional quality, resulting in superior softness, absorbency, durability and elegance.

    Although it is common to see textiles, particularly bed linens and towels, labelled as made from "Egyptian cotton", genuine Egyptian cotton is exceedingly rare.

    Based on 2025 global cotton production, only 0.2 to 0.4% of the total was Egyptian cotton. Giza Extra Long Staple is even rarer.

    Towels, bathrobes and bed linens crafted from this marvellous and scarce resource are truly a luxurious indulgence for everyday comfort.
