All About the Danish Latex Neck Pillow

Finally, a proper neck pillow made of responsive, supportive latex foam. If you have ever tried a neck pillow that did not work but believe it would be better support for your cervical spine, this is the product to try. Available in 3 distinct firmnesses.

Individuals with broad shoulders or those who prefer a harder pillow should choose the firm version.

Those of average size should choose the medium option. The Talalay latex used here is tremendously supple yet considerably more elastic than other foams, resulting in an extremely supportive pillow.

Someone of smaller stature, or someone of average build who prefers a softer pillow, should choose soft. This is a truly luxurious, comfortable neck pillow that is less likely to trigger the headaches that overly firm pillows often cause.

Includes a removable, washable, organic stretch-knit cotton cover. The cover is a bit loose when new, as it is oversized intentionally to fit properly after some intentional shrinking during the first laundering.

    Vita Talalay latex is the most durable, breathable and supportive type of latex foam.

    Radium, the makers of Vita Talalay latex, acquired the Talalay production rights all the way back in 1961. This makes Radium one of the oldest and most experienced producers of latex in the world. Before 1961, Radium produced standard Dunlop latex starting in 1932. The factory has always been located in Maastricht, the Netherlands.

It is also possible to blend natural rubber tree milk with synthetic styrene-butadiene content. All pillows currently offered by The Mattress & Sleep Company are made with 100% natural rubber tree latex.

    A2: Natural latex foam is made from rubber tree milk. There are also three processes for manufacturing latex: Continuous Pour, Dunlop and Talalay.

    Q3: What is synthetic latex foam made of?
    A3: Synthetic latex foam is made from two petrochemicals called Styrene and Butadiene.

    Q4: Are all latex pillows in Canada made from natural materials?
    A4: No, nearly all latex pillows in Canada are synthetically blended, even though they are incorrectly referred to as natural. However, all of our Berkeley Ergonomics and t•masc latex pillows are made from 100% natural rubber tree latex with zero synthetic content.
