While this size is usually intended for split king electric adjustable beds, as one half of a split king bed, Twin XL is the perfect size for those who wish to sleep together, yet separately at the same time, even with a traditional flat bed.

Split queen mattresses are a pair of half-queen mattresses placed side by side on one queen bed frame or for use with individual adjustable (articulating) bed frames. Measuring approximately 30 x 80", half queen mattresses are pretty narrow. For this reason, this size must be carefully considered.

Additionally, a split queen is not considered a standard size, which typically requires special ordering of half-queen bedding, including mattress protectors and fitted sheets.
