Egyptian Cotton Sheets in Canada
Did you know that genuine Egyptian cotton sheets are exceedingly rare? Egyptian cotton represents approximately 0.3% of typical worldwide cotton production each year.
The challenge is that the dictionary definition of Egyptian cotton could be more specific than "a finely woven thread" - this is too vague and could mean just about anything.
The Mattress & Sleep Company believes in labelling our sheeting accurately and transparently. This is why most of our sheeting is labelled correctly as long staple or ELS (extra-long staple) cotton. ELS cotton is typically Supima, Pima or Sea Island cotton.
