Rome Hybrid Mattress

I purchased this mattress online in 2020 without having the opportunity to test it before purchasing. The staff at The Mattress and Sleep company were incredibly helpful and able to help me make the right choice. I am petite 110lbs and my partner is much taller and about 200lbs this mattress suits us both. He prefers firm I prefer soft this is the perfect compromise

I did considerable research before buying a mattress, was looking for a medium firm mattress without memory foam with springs. I have had this mattress about 6 months and I must say it is exactly what I was looking for! Good support for spine and yet soft on top. Like the older spring beds, cool. excellent support and very comfortable on top. Thanks to Christine at Calgary location for helping me get mattress, pillows and bed frame. Would highly recommend.

I put considerable effort into finding a new mattress. Over the past number of years, I've experienced premature failures of various 'S' brands and their derivatives, and was determined to look for something different. I especially didn't want another pillow-top that slept hot and turned into a trench.\n\nThe only mattress we've had any recent success with is a Sealy mattress that is just a big chunk of Talalay latex. No topper, no superfluous foam, just latex. Unfortunately, the mainstream sleep stores in YYC were unable to show us anything that was a healthy alternative to synthetic Talalay latex. When we started searching outside of the mainstream, we decided to try Essentia. Suffice to say we found Essentia's mattresses uncomfortable and unreasonably priced.\n\nContinued research led us to Berkeley Ergonomics, and The Mattress and Sleep Company in YYC. After trying a few mattresses, we purchased the Olso (AKA BE3000), along with the Berkeley Suspension foundation. Despite the online assertions of a guy who HATES what Berkeley wraps their springs in (and thinks the entire world should know it), the bed is cleanly made. There is no off-gassing or chemical smells, just a faint wood smell from the foundation.\n\nI've been sleeping on the bed for a couple of weeks now and it is the first bed that I've owned that is impossible to be uncomfortable in. I can sleep comfortably on my back, side or stomach, without feeling like I should move every 30 minutes. I didn't think I wanted another innerspring mattress, but I was wrong - this thing is great. The Oslo is the perfect combination of softness and support, and I recommend it highly.\n\nI also recommend The Mattress and Sleep Company highly. They take sleep technology seriously, and allow their products to sell themselves. I felt zero pressure and felt that I was being listened to. In an era where mattress salespeople have become hyperbolic mouthpieces for mass-produced black-boxes, TMASC's quiet confidence in their products is a refreshing change.\n\nThanks for the help, TMASC, and thanks for the great bed, Berkeley Ergonomics.
