Is a bedframe included?

Unlike most retailers, The Mattress & Sleep Company always includes the cost of the bed frame in the price of your Wesley Allen Iron Bed. We do this because the specially engineered Millennium Frame is a key component to ensuring the stability and quality expected from your new Wesley Allen bed.

For those who are buying a Headboard Only (HO) or Headboard, Return Posts (HRP) who already have a generic frame, you may opt to delete the frame from your order if you'd like to use your existing frame. One of our Wesley Allen experts will be happy to advise you in this situation and quote you the appropriate price without the included frame.

Does Wesley Allen offer a warranty?

Yes, all Wesley Allen beds and bar stools come with a Limited Lifetime Warranty.

Will the finish look like the picture?

Wesley Allen finishes are hand applied and as such will vary from one bed to the next. Due to differences in dye lots, climate, and the uniqueness of the artisan's hand application, finishes may vary from those photographed here. Please note that Cottage White and Textured Aqua are randomly distressed. Slight variances are inherent and are not considered a manufacturer's defect.

How are two-tone finished applied?

Two-Tone finishes, for example, Brass / Mocha, are applied with the following logic. The top bar(s) of the headboard is finished in Brass (the 1st colour) and the rest in Mocha (the 2nd colour). Any castings are accented with Brass (the 1st colour).

Do you offer C.O.M. services on upholstered beds and barstools?

Yes, customers own material (COM) is an option for all upholstered beds. Please be sure to provide a suitable fabric or leather if you choose to utilize these services. Please keep in mind that you will need to send your materials to Los Angeles, CA.

Can I customize my Wesley Allen bed or barstools?

You'll notice a finish drop-down menu on each page. To view photographs of each finish, scroll down the product page until you see a table with finish thumnbnails. Our in-store customers may also view painted swatches. Our painted samples are also available to our local customers to take home for 1 or 2 nights to help them with their colour selection. Please note that we are, unfortunately, unable to provide our samples to customers outside of the Calgary & Edmonton areas.

Most Wesley Allen beds are also available in a variety of additional configurations. You'll notice black and white illustrations demonstrating some of the possible ways a bed may be ordered. For pricing and ordering of these custom options, please email us or call us toll-free on 1-877-750-1212 and we would be delighted to extend our Wesley Allen expertise and assistance.

Additional custom options available upon request

  • Painted Bed Rails (The Millennium™ Frame). Default is Matte Black.
  • 5" Decorative Side Rails - these replace the thin matte black side rails with a decorative side rail that is 5" tall and painted to match the bed. We highly recommend this option! Please note, this is only available on Complete Beds (CB) and not when ordering a Headboard Only (HO).
  • Two Footboards. If you'd like to have your headboard and footboard the same height, you may order your bed with two footboards. The price is the same as a Complete Bed (CB).

Is a Wesley Allen bed easy to assemble?

Yes! Common household tools will be enough to properly assemble a Wesley Allen bed. We suggest having two people work together to assemble a bed. Each bed comes with assembly instructions. It will take longer to unpack your Wesley Allen bed than it will take to actually assemble it.

Barstools arrived fully assembled and ready to enjoy.

Which barstool height should I be ordering?

If you are planning to use your barstools at a standard kitchen counter (ie: counter-height), we recommend a 24" stool. If you are going to use the barstools at a raised eating bar or similar wet bar, we recommend the 30" barstool height.

How much is shipping?

  • Free delivery and in-home setup in our local Calgary & Edmonton delivery areas. (Room must be empty and ready for our team to assemble the bed. Extra fees apply if moving existing mattresses or furniture).
  • Shipping elsewhere in Canada starts at a flat rate of $125. We will follow up with you to confirm the shipping cost to your specific location after we receive your order and prior to charging your payment method. Should the shipping cost be higher than you are comfortable with, simply let us know! We will gladly cancel your order with zero penalty to you.

When will my order arrive?

Due to the custom nature of Wesley Allen beds, and the significant production impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, please allow approximately 14-18 weeks for arrival to Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, Toronto, Ottawa and Montreal. Elsewhere in Canada, please allow 16-20 weeks. Factors such as the length of time to make your bed, shipping time, customs clearance, your locale within Canada all make it very difficult to provide an exact delivery date and as such these quoted times are our best estimate. Upholstered beds and more intricate models take the longest to produce.

Most freight companies will only deliver on a weekday. In rare cases, certain freight companies will deliver on a Saturday (an additional fee may apply).

How will my order arrive?

The freight company will call ahead to arrange for a convenient delivery date. Wesley Allen beds are delivered to your front door or brought to the back of the truck, depending on the carrier and province you live in. This means you will be responsible for moving everything into your home. If you live in an apartment/condo, the freight company is required to bring the shipment to your door, provided there is access to an elevator. Moving everything in to your home is very easy for two capable adults after unboxing the individual pieces.

What happens if something arrives damaged?

The likely-hood of a Wesley Allen product being damaged in transit is very nearly impossible due to how well they are packaged. In the unlikely event of damage, be sure to note all damages on the bill of lading (Write: PRODUCT DAMAGED directly on the slip of paper the delivery driver hands you to sign off on). Only discrepancies noted on the bill of lading can be addressed. Please call us immediately at 1-877-750-1212 if your product arrives damaged. Be sure to keep all packaging in the event that the shipping company wishes to inspect the product.

We also recommend writing "pending inspection" on the bill of lading as this can help in the case of finding concealed damage even when the shipping carton appears completely intact.

When is my credit card charged?

Due to the custom nature of Wesley Allen products, your credit card is charged in full prior to placing our purchase order with Wesley Allen.

What is your order cancellation & change policy?

You may cancel or change your order with no penalty up to 1 business day after placing your order with us. While we will always endeavour to cancel an order after this time, we cannot guarantee that there will be no cost to cancel. We will pass on the cost of cancellation direct from Wesley Allen, should such a cost be incurred.

Can I return a Wesley Allen product?

Returns are accepted only when a product is determined (by Wesley Allen directly) to have a manufacturer's defect. Otherwise, The Mattress & Sleep Company is unable to offer returns on any Wesley Allen product due to their custom nature. Please take the time to carefully consider the finish you choose, and confirm fitment in your space. If you have any questions, we are happy to lend our expertise.

Do you match prices?

The Mattress & Sleep Company will match any authorized Canadian Wesley Allen retailer price before purchase.
