Boxspring / Alto Labelling

Each Formesse Bella Donna fitted sheet arrives in packaging labelled as "Alto / Boxspring." This is the term Formesse uses for deeper, more generously sized mattresses and mattress/topper sets.

The Mattress & Sleep Company orders this generously sized version to ensure that the Bella Donna fitted sheet is deep enough for the majority of mattresses sold in Canada.

Centrefold Pleat

The high degree of elasticity and elegant, smooth feel of the Bella Donna Jersey are thanks to a specially developed finishing process Formesse employs for their fabric. The tubular fabric is finished in a very gentle manner before being cut. This process offers the following advantages:

The fabric remains smooth and elastic
The fabric's elastane fibres remain undamaged and retain their elastic recovery
The fabric receives its heavy, elegant feel

A typical feature of this kind of finishing process is the centrefold or pleat mark: a fine pleat that runs down the middle of your Bella Donna Jersey sheet, and that gradually disappears when you begin using the sheet.

This centrefold has no influence on the exceptional quality of the fitted sheet; quite the contrary, a centrefold guarantees that the sheet is made from tubular fabric and is, therefore, a sign of quality.

Not all cottons are alike

The fine yarn for your bed: Supercombed, long-staple cotton produces particularly fine and even single cotton yarns. Twisting two of these yarn strands together gives you a particularly tear-resistant, robust ply yarn. Gassing removes any protruding filaments using a flame, making the ply yarn even more uniform. Finally, the last protruding fibre ends are removed.
It is these protruding fibre ends that tend to form little balls when a fabric is used, otherwise known as pilling. Not something that happens with Formesse sheets!
No pilling thanks to the finest yarns.
Wonderfully intense colours

Bella Donna Jersey has a very uniform surface thanks to an even, close-knit. This is why Formesse colours look so vivid. The elaborate dying process uses the latest technologies, while the addition of aloe vera and argan oil gives the sheet its intense colour and also adds a very subtle sheen.

Easy to Change

Especially when it comes to larger bed sizes with a width of 60" or more, you’re often faced with the problem: "Which is the longer side and which is the shorter side?"
All Formesse Bella Donna Jersey fitted sheets come with a care label, which also shows the size. The ‘clever corner’ with the label is designed to fit over the top right or bottom left corner of the mattress.
