St Genève Giza 92 Bed Linen Collection

GIZA 92 cotton is a premium variety of cotton originating from the fertile Nile River Delta in Egypt. This cotton is highly prized for its extra-long staple fibres, which measure between 1.45 and 1.5 inches (37-38 mm), making it one of the longest cotton fibres available. These rare threads can then be woven into the strongest of all Egyptian cottons. The result is St Genève's exceptionally soft, strong and luxurious GIZA 92 bedding.

St Genève Giza 92 is a genuine 400 thread count, 800 strand count fabric. These numbers approach the mathematical limit of what is possible for cotton textiles. Any cotton thread count of 350+ should be scrutinized as they're almost always incorrectly stated.

Giza 92 now has a modern botanical design, presenting Giza 92 Flora - the next evolution in luxury bedding.

Our default 15" fitted sheet pocket depth works well with mattresses 10-14" thick. On request, pocket depths from 6" to 20"+ are available.

Pillowcases

Unless otherwise noted, pillowcases are sold in pairs. All St Genève pillowcases are finished with a Swiss fold - additional fabric at the open end of the pillowcase that helps ensure your pillow is not visible.

Common Bed Linen Customizations

Deeper or shallower fitted sheets for a tailored fit. Ideally, the fitted sheet should be made approximately 2" deeper than your mattress
Duvet cover closure substitutions (ie: swapping a zipper closure for buttons)
Skipping the flat (top) sheet
High-profile (oversized) flat sheets for extra-deep mattresses
Ordering single pillowcases, or smaller sizes such as regular or standard
Substituting king pillowcases for queen pillowcases
Ordering extra pillowcases and fitted sheets to rotate your bed linens (easier laundry days, and rotating bed linens extends their lifespan)

Over 50 years ago, St Genève's founder, Michael de la Place, was delighted by the blissful comfort of his parents’ new European down duvet. At the time, duvets were virtually unknown in North America, and Michael fell in love. He learned that there was nothing like being cocooned in a finely crafted down duvet.
