Rooted in true circular sustainability, the journey begins on their private 300-acre farm in North Yorkshire-just 18 miles from their Leeds workshop. As the only bedmaker in the United Kingdom to operate their own agricultural estate, Harrison Spinks cultivates natural hemp and flax while raising prize-winning sheep to produce sumptuous, farm-fresh fillings. This dedicated "farm-to-bed" philosophy guarantees an all-natural sleep sanctuary that is entirely foam-free, glue-free, and crafted without harmful synthetic chemicals.

Surrounding the mattress is a fine-quality fabric ticking that Harrison Spinks weaves in-house- a distinction no other mattress manufacturer shares entirely. This bespoke ticking is naturally fire-retardant and inherently chemical-free, ensuring pure, uncompromised breathability directly against the body. Hand-tufted through all interior comfort layers and internal spring units, each natural element is secured firmly in place. Below the surface, lofty layers of pure Yorkshire wool, British wool blends, crisp cotton, and resilient flax work harmoniously to regulate temperature, wick moisture, and gently contour around your pressure points.

The core features an astonishing pocket coil system manufactured entirely in-house, with 12,000 coils in queen size and 15,200 in king size, arranged across six responsive layers. At the heart lies the Sensa Intelligent full-height pocket spring core, flanked beneath by dual layers of Posturfil springs that act as an integrated mini boxspring. Above the core, dual tiers of HD 4000 bamboo micro springs pair with an HD 2700 zoned bamboo micro-spring layer to deliver enhanced support through the centre third of the mattress, ensuring precise spinal alignment and targeted lumbar relief.

Engineered for effortless luxury, this mattress features a turn-free, single-sided construction that never requires heavy flipping-simply rotate it 180° periodically to ensure enduring comfort and even wear. Their micro spring technology is unlike any other. As a result, Harrison Spinks British Luxury Collection beds are more substantial and comfortable than other luxury mattress offerings. 

We also firmly believe that Harrison Spinks' uniquely vertically integrated production results in astonishingly competitive pricing compared to its peers.

For these reasons, we offer exchanges in a limited context on Harrison Spinks mattresses:

  • Harrison Spinks exchange privileges are available only to our local customers (Calgary, Edmonton & Vancouver areas).
  • You must purchase a mattress protector with the original mattress invoice and use it at all times.
  • Initiate an exchange between 30 and 120 nights from the date of delivery.
  • Exchanges are only available for Queen and King size mattresses.
  • Split-firmness (i.e., half medium/half firm) Queen and King mattresses are ineligible for exchange.
  • A 25% exchange fee will be applied to the returned mattress's prevailing retail price. For clarity, the retail price is the price published on tmasc.ca when an exchange is initiated.
  • If the newly selected mattress is priced lower than the returned mattress, we will issue an in-store credit for the difference (less the 25% exchange fee).
  • Rips, stains or any such wear & tear invalidate this exchange privilege.
  • Mattress toppers and luxury enhancers are ineligible for this exchange privilege.
  • For added clarity, refunds are not permitted. The 25% exchange fee includes the cost of delivering the newly selected mattress and returning the original mattress.

    • Ironically, the vast majority of box springs have no springs and are simply a rigid platform
    • Typically between 5-9" tall and designed to be supported by a bed frame. The common types of bed frames that support a box spring include traditional metal frames with legs or wheels, or headboards and footboards with an integrated frame
    • Some box springs offer legs, which removes the need for a bed frame to support the box spring. Our Harrison Spinks True Edge Foundation is one such example. The Harrison Spinks foundation is also a functional box spring with thousands of micro pocket coils

    Why should I add a mattress topper?

    There are several situations where adding a mattress topper is a great idea.

    1. If your existing mattress is in good condition, with no dips or sags, but it is currently too firm for you, then a mattress topper is a great idea.
    2. If your new mattress is designed to last 10 years or more, then a mattress topper is a great idea. A topper will help preserve the outer materials of a new mattress and keep it more hygienic.
    3. Even if you have a two-sided mattress designed to be turned, it is far easier to turn a mattress topper. Adding a well-constructed mattress enhancer significantly reduces the need to turn your mattress. This is the perfect situation to consider adding a mattress topper.
    4. You've chosen the softest possible mattress, and you need something even softer. You'll want to opt for the St Genève Heirloom Goose Down Mattress Topper or one of the Harrison Spinks luxury enhancers in this situation.

Do you keep mattresses in stock?

Yes! Our warehouses in Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton & St. Albert stock nearly every mattress model in popular sizes. We offer in-home delivery or same-day pickup.

In addition, our stores in Calgary, Edmonton, and Sherwood Park stock popular bed-in-a-box mattresses, which are available for immediate pickup and loading into almost any vehicle.

Our Edmonton store features an attached warehouse with additional on-hand inventory.

Will you remove my old mattress?

Yes! For our local customers in the Calgary, Edmonton & Vancouver areas, we can remove unwanted mattresses and/or box springs for a flat fee of $30 per piece, one-to-one with your newly delivered mattress.

Do you offer installation services?

For our customers in the Calgary, Edmonton & Vancouver areas, we offer basic installation services on a case-by-case basis. A quote is required.

For lengthy or complex installations such as kitchens and cabinetry, we recommend hiring an experienced specialist or contractor. We'll gladly deliver your order to your job site or to your specialists' workshop.

We offer 3D planning software, technical drawings, and support for all TEAM 7 furniture, including kitchens, dining, living, and sleeping products.

Where are your stores located?

Mattress & Sleep Company has stores in Calgary, Edmonton, and Sherwood Park, Alberta. Our Vancouver flagship store opens in early 2027. While the majority of our customers are local, we're delighted to welcome customers from across Canada and the USA.

What are your hours of operation?

Our stores are open 7 days a week. We operate our website, stores, phones, and live chat Monday-Saturday from 10 am to 5 pm and on Sundays from 11 am to 5 pm. Our Edmonton store is open late on Thursdays until 8 pm. All times are Mountain Time.

Where do you deliver?

The short answer: we deliver just about anywhere. Calgary, Edmonton & Vancouver, first and foremost, as we have stores here. We deliver to nearly every Canadian province and the contiguous United States every day.
