1 - Although California King is available in Canada, this size only represents a small portion of our king mattress sales.
Nearly all mattress sizes are rounded up. For example a Twin bed in real-world dimensions is usually 38 x 74" or a Double is 53 x 74". Queen and King are almost always 79 inches long. Most mattresses today are still primarily hand made, which will always lead to variances. Foam mattresses tend to adhere to sizing guidelines more accurately than spring mattresses.
Square, rectangle, round, cut corners to fit antique four poster beds, we're well-suited to work with our manufacturing partners to provide these unique requirements. Our handcrafted luxury natural mattress range from Berkeley Ergonomics, Harrison Spinks, and t•masc (made in Ottawa by Obasan) allows for just about any possibility.

About Discrepancies
It is normal for a particular mattress to not match up exactly to a size listed above. As many aspects of building a mattress are still done by hand, there will always be variations in sizing from one mattress to the next. Depending on the mattress manufacturer, deviations of 1" or more may still be considered as within the acceptable tolerance.

The multiple layers of natural fillings and pocket springs found in this handcrafted masterpiece are listed in order from top-to-bottom, beginning with the fabric ticking, woven in-house by Harrison Spinks.

- Bases are split in two for all queen and king beds, and the orientation of the split depends on the height of the base
- Deep Divan Bases: Split down the middle from head-to-toe (left and right pair)
- Shallow Bases: Split down the middle from head to toe (left and right pair)
- Slim Bases: Split in half from east to west (head and foot pair)
- Wooden legs are included
- Install the legs to use the base without a bedframe or with a matching Harrison Spinks upholstered headboard
- Leave the legs off and place the base inside an existing metal, wood or upholstered bedframe
- Available with a choice of leg styles and finishes (selection varies by base type)

As this is a functional boxspring, the springs and natural fillings create a "crown" effect. This means the inner portions of the boxspring are slightly taller than the edges.

The Mattress & Sleep Company believes Harrison Spinks craft the best traditional handmade foam-free mattresses in the world.
Their micro spring technology is unlike any other. The result is that Harrison Spinks British Luxury Collection beds are more substantial and comfortable than other luxury mattress offerings.
We also firmly believe that Harrison Spinks uniquely vertically integrated production results in astonishingly competitive pricing compared to their peers.
For these reasons, we offer exchanges in a limited context on Harrison Spinks mattresses:
- Harrison Spinks exchange privileges are available to our local (Calgary & Edmonton areas) customers only.
- A mattress protector must be purchased on the original mattress invoice and must be used at all times.
- An exchange must be initiated between 30 and 120 nights from the date of delivery.
- Exchanges are only available for Queen and King size mattresses.
- Split firmness (ie: half medium/half firm) Queen and King mattresses are ineligible for exchange.
- A 25% restocking fee will be levied against the prevailing Retail Price of the returned mattress.
- If the newly-selected mattress is priced lower than the returned mattress, we will issue an in-store credit for the difference (less the 25% restocking fee).
- Rips, stains or any such wear & tear invalidate this exchange privilege.
- Mattress toppers are ineligible for this exchange privilege.
- For added clarity, refunds are not permitted. The cost of delivering the newly-selected mattress and returning the original mattress is included in the 25% restocking fee.
