All About the Chance Latex Mattress

The Chance 11" mattress is a beautifully handcrafted mattress that incorporates the highest quality, breathable, 100% certified organic materials. It provides an incredibly comfortable, dry, cool sleep for one or two sleep partners, based on individual tailoring for individual sleepers.

100% GOLS-certified organic Dunlop latex provides highly flexible and supportive layers. Cores can be purchased separately, which ensures the mattress can be altered at any given time. The Chance 11" mattress is available with a choice of soft, medium and firm core layers. Queen and king mattresses feature 2 split middle layers, allowing each individual sleeper to choose their own firmness. To keep it simple, we show three firmness choices online, but the reality is the Chance mattress offers over a dozen possible configurations.

As part of our Zippered Forever Bed™ collection, the Chance mattress features individual layers of GOLS-certified organic latex that may be flipped, rotated and replaced at any time during the lifespan of your mattress.

The Chance 11" is easily the most luxurious fully certified organic mattress that TMASC has ever offered. It offers an unparalleled range of freedom and flexibility in firmness options and customization. It also comes with a removable cover that can be easily spot-cleaned and aired out. No harmful, fire-retardant chemicals. Instead, organic wool is quilted into the cover and is an all-natural fire barrier.

The outer cover is 100% stretch-knit organic cotton, quilted to resilient and moisture-wicking organic Corriedale sheep's wool. Both sides of the cover are quilted the same way so body indentations can be reduced by flipping the mattress and re-building the layers. Alternatively, the entire mattress can be flipped, though one side would be firmer than the other.

Dunlop latex has a progressive feel, becoming firmer the more it is compressed making it inherently more stable feeling than other latex production methods.

Ponder Upon
Obasan 11

Searching for a mattress involved lots of research; it's a little daunting to sort through all the information about coil, foam, hybrid, latex, organic, off gassing, GOTS, GOLS, cooling, heating, and sustainability, then invest so much money hoping to get a good sleep. I booked an appointment at the Mattress & Sleep Company on Macleod Trail specifically to check out the Obasan options. Christo spent over an hour, maybe longer, introducing me to the brand and the product. Plus, he patiently walked me through each of the soft, medium, firm options and welcomed me to experience the differences, including on other brands. He dismantled some of the show mattresses and swapped out the cores for me, he explained the foundation needs to properly support and ensure the life of each type of mattress, and he walked me through pricing. It was a true crash course education with no pressure to buy. I happily picked and bought a 10' Obasan mattress after visiting other shops to compare. Christo followed up after the sale to keep me informed, and to answer any more questions. I had been sleeping on my floor for almost 2 months due to moving into a new place. First night on the Obasan, slept so well! The Obasan wool mattress topper is excellent too; I had bought another brand mattress for a second bed. First night on the other brand of mattress, I tossed and turned and woke up stiff and sore. After trying the Obasan wool topper on the other brand of mattress, I slept like a dream and woke up rested, relaxed and ready to tackle my day. Getting another topper now! Thank you to Christo for leading me to Obasan and many great sleeps ahead. - review originally appeared on Google

Obasan 11 Mattress

Researched a number of higher end memory foam mattresses at several retail stores and on line. We finally decided on The Mattress and Sleep Company. Zack, did an excellent job of showing us various options and answering all our questions. The atmosphere was relaxed with absolutely no pressure to buy. After two visits to the store we settled on an Obasan 100% organic latex mattress. TMSC contracts their deliveries to a third party. The delivery by two young guys was 5 star. They took great care removing the old mattress and setting up the new. Overall the purchase and delivery was a most satisfying experience and to date the new mattress has met all our expectations. - review originally appeared on Google

Wonderful staff, very helpful, informative, and never felt any sales pressure. Started with a pillow (St Geneve Lajord), and have since bought a mattress (Obasan 10'), bed (TEAM 7 Lunetto), and duvet (St Geneve Lajord). My neck and back pain is gone! I never knew sleep could be this good! Truly life changing! All their products are high quality and you can't go wrong with anything in the store. You won't be disappointed, you will sleep better, and you absolutely deserve it! - review originally appeared on Google

Sleeptek Euro

I recently purchased the Sleeptek Euro 4 (Obasan Studio 10" Organic Mattress) from the Mattress and Sleep Company in Calgary. My 6 year old Temperpedic became too firm for me. Dylan recommended Sleeptek and the suspension system and I am very happy he did. I have never never been so comfortable in a bed before. This bed was worth every dollar. I now wake up so rested and pain free. Dylan and his sales team were very knowledgeable and professional. The delivery team was great. I have to say the Sleeptek Euro 4 is the very best bed I have owned, 10 out of 10.
